Villagers - The Residents of Your Town

Of course, you won’t be the only one living in your Animal Crossing: City Folk town. The town’s non-player residents are called villagers, and they come in a variety of species and personalities. If you want to learn more about your villager friends and how they see the world, here is a list of the six villager personalities in Animal Crossing: City Folk!

Lazy (Male)

Lazy villagers have a calm, laid back view of things. They don’t care that much about their physical appearance, which sometimes frustrates Snooty and Jock personalities. One of their favorite things in the world is food, and they talk about it quite frequently. They don’t get upset very easily, and they are good friends who love to have fun.

Jock (Male)

Jock villagers are the athletes of Animal Crossing! They are almost always energetic, and they love discussing physical training, sports, and exercises. They brag about their physique and sometimes will ask the player if they enjoy muscle cramps. Even with their obsession, they are loyal friends who always have the time to chat.

Cranky (Male)

Cranky villagers are the older folks in your town. They mostly want to settle down in a nice, quiet home and not be disturbed. Cranky personalities enjoy the simple life, and make comments about the things they did “back in their day”. Despite their hard, grouchy exterior, they really do have a heart of gold and will open up to the player after time.

Peppy (Female)

Peppy villagers enjoy everything in life! They are bubbly and excitable, and use words such as ‘SOOOO’ and ‘totally’! Peppy characters are passionate about all the events in your town, and they love a game of hide-and-seek. Sweet and loveable, they are always excited to see you and tell you about everything!

Normal (Female)

Normal villagers don’t need much to have a happy life. They are kind, gentle and humble towards everyone and enjoy talking about simple things like the weather. They have hospitable, neighborly personalities and are slow to say a spiteful word. Normal villagers are pleasant and content; they enjoy both you and your town.

Snooty (Female)

Snooty villagers are girly and glamorous. They love discussing fashion and whispering about the latest gossip. Snooty personalities can be very disagreeable at times; they clash often with others, such as the Lazy villagers. Even though they can be hard to get along with, these characters will get to know you better over time, and can become some of your best friends.
